Acts 5

Passage: Acts 5 - Genuine Christian or the Rest
Service Type:

INTRODUCTION

1.The book of Acts is Jesus Christ working through the disciples who are filled with the Holy Spirit.

▪God is the ultimate judge of sin.

▪The Church should never tolerate sin in the lives of the believers.

2.Christianity is an intimate relationship and fellowship with God and his family (each other). Sin affects and damages these relationships.

LESSON

1.God’s presence with us is far more important than to have large crowds with us.

2.Sinful lifestyle and the Holy Spirit is not compatible with each other.

Romans 8:7-9 (NLT)

7For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.  9But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
